What to Expect From a Professional Window Cleaning Estimate

When you're looking for a window cleaning company, one of the first questions on your mind is usually, "How much is this going to cost?"

At TNT Window Cleaning, we believe getting an estimate should be simple, straightforward, and transparent. Our goal is to provide pricing that's tailored to your home so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins. Every home is different, and taking a few extra minutes to see your windows in person allows us to provide an estimate that's honest, fair, and as accurate as possible.

Every Home Is Different

When you first contact us, one of the first things we'll ask is where your home is located, what type of property you have, and what kind of window cleaning service you're looking for.

Those questions help us begin understanding your home before we ever arrive. Throughout Palm Beach County and surrounding areas, homes vary tremendously. Some neighborhoods have nearly identical layouts, while others feature expansive glass, second-story windows, mature landscaping, or are located close to the ocean where salt exposure plays a larger role.

We also want to understand your window cleaning needs. Are you looking for interior and exterior window cleaning? Exterior only? Is there something specific that prompted you to call? Asking a few questions upfront helps us prepare for your estimate and ensures we're recommending the service that's right for your home.

Why We Choose In-Person Window Cleaning Estimates

One question we occasionally hear is, "Can you just give me a price over the

phone?"

While we understand why homeowners ask, we've found that an in-person estimate almost always leads to a better experience.

There are several factors that go into pricing a window cleaning service, including the number of windows, the style of the windows, their condition, accessibility, and whether any specialized treatment may be needed. Rather than making assumptions, we'd much rather see everything for ourselves so we can give you pricing that's accurate from the beginning.

One of our favorite examples is a good friend who told us she had about ten windows. When we walked the property together, there were actually twenty-eight between the windows and each sliding glass door panel. Had we provided a phone estimate, the final price would have been significantly different simply because she didn't know what we consider "one" window or sliding door.

An in-person estimate allows us to give you pricing that's based on your actual home instead of guesswork. It gives us the opportunity to evaluate your windows, answer your questions, and make sure you know exactly what to expect before scheduling your service. Our Estimates are always free, with no obligation to book. Accurate estimates helps you schedule with confidence.

What Happens During the Estimate?

When we arrive, we'll introduce ourselves, answer any initial questions, and take a walk around the exterior of your home.

If you have a scheduling conflict, you don't have to be home for the estimate. As long as we have access to the exterior of the property, we can complete the walkthrough and follow up with you on pricing afterward.

As we walk the property, we work together to get an accurate window count while evaluating the overall condition of the windows. We're looking for things like heavier buildup, hard water stains, sticker residue, construction debris, paint, or anything else that may require additional time or specialized treatment to achieve the best possible results.

We're also evaluating access to the windows, surrounding landscaping, and anything else that may affect the cleaning process. If we notice something important, such as damaged glass, we'll point it out before any work begins. We believe clear communication starts long before the cleaning itself.

The entire estimate typically takes about 10–15 minutes and is designed to be quick, easy, and informative.

Why Window Condition Matters

Not every window requires the same level of care.

Some homes receive regular maintenance and simply need a routine cleaning. Others may have newly installed windows with adhesive residue, hard water buildup, construction debris, or years of accumulated dirt that requires additional attention.

We recently completed an estimate where we noticed a cracked window before the cleaning even began. As we continued the walkthrough, we also discovered the home had recently received new windows, complete with adhesive residue that wasn't visible from a distance. Because we were able to evaluate everything beforehand, we discussed it with the homeowner, adjusted the estimate fairly, and made sure everyone understood exactly what to expect before scheduling the work.

That's one of the biggest advantages of seeing your home in person. It gives us the opportunity to identify anything that could affect the service and communicate it upfront.

An Estimate Is About More Than Pricing

One of the things we enjoy most about in-person estimates is getting to meet our customers.

It's an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn what's included in our full-service window cleaning, and get to know the team that will be caring for your home. If there are additional services you're interested in—such as shower glass, mirrors, ceiling fans, or cobweb removal—we're happy to discuss those while we're there.

We never want the estimate to feel rushed or pushy. Our goal is simply to understand your home, explain our process, and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.

Comparing Window Cleaning Estimates

If you're gathering estimates from multiple companies, don't compare price alone.

Take a few minutes to ask questions about what's actually included and how each company approaches the job.

Some helpful questions include:

  • What's included in your standard window cleaning service?

  • Are screens and frames included?

  • Is your company insured?

  • Who will actually be cleaning my home, and what experience do they have?

  • How do you handle hard-to-reach windows or hard water stains?

  • Are there any additional charges I should know about before the appointment?

A professional company should be happy to answer your questions and explain their process clearly so you can make an informed decision.

What We Hope You Walk Away Feeling

By the time your estimate is finished, we hope you feel excited, confident, and comfortable with your decision.

Our goal is for every homeowner to feel like they're working with honest, trustworthy people who genuinely care about doing a great job. We want you to understand the value you're receiving, know exactly what to expect, and feel confident that you're getting quality service at a fair price.

One customer recently told us she knew she wanted to hire us before we had even visited her home because she appreciated how patiently we explained our estimate process over the phone. Moments like that remind us that building trust starts with the very first conversation.

To us, an estimate is about much more than pricing. It's the beginning of a relationship, and we believe every homeowner deserves an experience that's clear, honest, and enjoyable from the very start.
